The Clarks Archive, the 'Alfred Gillette Trust' have a very special exhibition at the Clarks headquarters at the 'Grange' this weekend as part of Heritage exhibitions throughout the country.
This is very special for Street as they are exhibiting some of the fossils of Icthyosaurus and other fossils found in the area and collected by Alfred Gillette, whilst quarrying was carried out in Street to provide blue Lias stone for many local buildings, such as Sleepy Hollow. It is an impressive collection.
