2.1       Sleepy Hollow Cottages is responsible for ensuring that this policy is made available to customers prior to collecting/processing their personal data, and that consent to the processing of their data is secured.

3.1       Sleepy Hollow Cottages is a small scale self catering cottage business located in rural Somerset.

The personal data we would like to collect from customers may include some, or all of the following: Name, Address, Telephone, Email. These may be used for the following purposes:

  • contacting you regarding your enquiry, or booking, and any special offers we may have in the future,

By consenting to this privacy notice you are giving us permission to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing t.s.lewis@btinternet.com, or a phone call.

3.3       Disclosure

Sleepy Hollow Cottages will not pass on your personal data to third parties without your prior consent. In the event of the sale of Sleepy Hollow Cottages, a client list may be given to the new owners in order to maintain the current level of service. This will be name, telephone contact, or email where known.

3.4       Retention period

Sleepy Hollow Cottages will process personal data of customers, and will store it for up to three years

At any point while we are in possession of, or are processing your personal data, you, the data subject, have the following rights:

In order for you to book one of our cottages, we need to collect personal data to enable us to contact you prior to your stay or on occasions after your stay e.g. if you have left items at the end of stay. In any event, we are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for this purpose, and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.

Sharing personal data with a third party?

In the event of the sale of Sleepy Hollow Cottages, our data base of customers may be passed to the new owner.

How will Sleepy Hollow Cottages use the personal data it collects about me?

We will process (collect, store and use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We aim to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary. We may contact you to clarify your specific requirements, directions, arrival time and key collection arrangements. We usually contact guests following their stay to thank them for the booking and in the event of their having left items, to arrange for the return of such items.
